Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Our Commitment
Matteca is committed to making our web application accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level and continually work to improve the user experience for everyone.
What We Do
- Semantic HTML — We use proper heading hierarchies, landmarks, and ARIA attributes to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard.
- Color contrast — We maintain contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG AA requirements against our dark-theme background.
- Text alternatives — Images and icons include descriptive alt text or are marked as decorative.
- Responsive design — The interface adapts to a range of screen sizes and zoom levels.
- Focus indicators — Visible focus outlines are provided for interactive elements.
Known Limitations
While we aim for full accessibility, some areas of Matteca may have limitations:
- Some data visualizations (charts, the score wheel) rely on color to convey information. We are working on adding text alternatives.
- Third-party integrations may have their own accessibility limitations outside our control.
